PASSIVE VOICE

Simple present : I eat a piece of bread

Simple past : I ate a piece of bread

Passive

A piece of bread is eaten by me

NOTE :

1. Object in active becomes subject in passive

2. The verb in passive is always past participle (V3)

3. There is always “be” (depanding on tenses)

4. There is “by” phrase

5. Object in active become object in passive

Passive Sentence :

Present – Active

a. Simple Present : I write a letter

b. Present Continous : I am writing a letter

c. Present Perfect : I have written a letter

d. Present Perfect Continous : I have been writing a letter

Past – Active

Simple Past : I wrote a letter last night

Past Continous : I was writing a letter

Past Perfect : I had written a letter

Past Perfect Continous : I had been writing a letter

Future – Active (Will)

Simple Future : I will write a letter tomorrow

Future Continous : I will be writing a letter

Future Perfect : I will have written a letter

Future Perfect Continous : I will have been written a letter
